For five years straight MKT has donated to the U.S. Marine Corps’ “Toys for Tots" charity program with long time partner Parker Hannifin. The project which brings together business and community participants, celebrated a 12-year record of 471 bikes donated this year.

MKT sent a team of 15 volunteers to northern California, consisting of employees and their families to assemble the bikes in traditional MKT lean production fashion. They helped with the effort putting together over 50 bikes in just under two hours. After completing the build MKT founder Mike Kenney jokingly mentioned, “We’ll need an Engineer Change Request to increase our productivity rate for next year." 

All involved were pleased to work with friends and coworkers taking part in such an amazing cause. “It was a great time assisting Parker with the bike build this year and we look forward to joining them again in the years to come,” said Mike.
